Inauguration

The Inauguration of the workshop was held on 31 December 2008.

Dr. Madhavankutty, Retd. DMO, Calicut District inaugurated the workshop and delivered a Keynote speech on “Healthy Women and Healthy Society”. In his inaugural address he stressed on the importance of holistic approach for healthy living. He later stated that an overall aspect of health which include physical, mental nutritional and social are the four pillars on which the abode of healthy life style exists. For maintaining these four pillars the role of a mother is tremendous. So it is inevitable to make her aware of the varied intricacies of health aspect in today’s life style.

Prof. Gokulchandran, HOD, Department of Chemistry, Zamorin’s Guruvayurappan College, Calicut welcomed the gathering, Shri Arjunan Mukunnath, Organising Secretary, Swadeshi Science Movement, Kerala presided over the function, Prof Sumathy, Principal Zamorin’s Guruvayurappan College, Calicut blessed the workshop with her felicitation. Vote of thanks was given by Smt. Bindu Suraj, SHAKTI, Kerala.
