This national movement of Women inspired by Vijnana Bharati focuses on strengthening Indian women by empowering them in social, intellectual, cultural and economic aspects. Shakti believes in mutual love, recognition and appreciation based on concept of Ardhanareeswara Sankalpam'. Shakti marches ahead with a great desire and determination to empower women in all walks of life through the intervention of Science and Technology. With a strong support from Vijanana Bharati and nation wide network of highly motivated women, Shakti carries out a large number of programs in woman and child health, knowledge up-gradation for science teachers in schools, programs on urban development and its environmental impact. nutrition at low cost for rural areas etc. Shakti is committed to solve issues faced by women at home and workplace and aims at achieving this by building a strong network of women groups and organizations committed to the same aim. The ultimate objective is to build a developed & cultured society.
